I’m Alonso Garcia. During my 3rd year in college I decided to move away from a point and shoot and get myself a more professional camera. People began to know me as “the guy with a fancy camera.” Right after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Film and Media Studies, family and friends began to contact me to photograph their work, events, and portraits.
I quickly realized how deeply I enjoy capturing people’s dedication and passion in their work as well as all those special moments from a baby’s Christening, special birthday parties, to portraits and many different milestones. My passion for photography continues to grow as I learn new techniques and angles to elegantly frame some of the most significant and memorable moments in people’s lives.
Photographs enable us to capture a moment and experience it all over again, days or years into the future. I favor candid photographs as they evoke the truest sentiment. Allow me to photograph those significant fleeting moments at your next special event, your family portrait, or your next big project.
